James Hutchinson'ın projesi Bir Depolama Alanı veya Yeniden Örgütlenme Müzesine Doğru, objelerin bir yerden bir yere taşındıkça gerçekleşen dönüşümüne, sermeye akımına bağlı güçler tarafından taşınmasına, ve hareket ettikleri mekanların barındırdığı bu akımı dönüştürmesine gönderme yapıyor. Arrow Factory / Pekin, Collective / Edinburg, ve PiST/// İstanbul ortaklığıyla bir yıldır devam eden uluslararası araştırma projesi Pekin_Edinburg_İstanbul yoluyla: Dünya Elle Nasıl Döner?'in bir parçası olarak Hutchinson ticari ve küresel hareketler etrafında bir diyalog oluşturduğu projesini gelistirebilmek icin PiST///'in misafiri. Bu süreçte Hutchinson devam eden projesi için İstanbul'da yeni bir iş de gerçekleştirecek. Dayatılmış ekonomik zorluklara bağlı yeniden yapılanmaların büyük oranda yaşandığı bölgelerde sanat taşımacılığı için kullanılan tahta sandıkların üretimi ve bu bağlamda İstanbul'un farklı semtlerinde hızla gerçekleşmeye devam eden soylulaştırma sürecine yoğunlaşacak.
17 Aralık 2011, saat 15:00'da başlayacak sanatçı konuşması devamında sanatın hızlı ekonomik dönüşümlere bağlı rolü üzerine konukların da katılacağı daha geniş kapsamlı bir tartışma gerçekleşecek. Bekliyoruz!

Proposal for a Warehouse or Towards a Museum of Reorganisation is a project by James Hutchinson that addresses the transformation of objects as they move through spaces, carried by the forces of the capitalist flow, and consider how the spaces they move through are themselves transformed to accommodate this flow. As a part of How to Turn the World by Hand? via Beijing, Edinburgh, İstanbul - a year long, international research project in collaboration with Arrow Factory / Beijing, Collective / Edinburgh and PiST/// Istanbul, Hutchinson will be based at PiST/// to develop his project which feeds into a dialogue around trade and global movements. During his stay Hutchinson will be making new work as part of his ongoing project which involves the production of art shipping crates in locations that have been subject to massive reorganisation due to an imposed economic imperative and this context will also focus on the rapid gentrification in areas of Istanbul.
On December 17, 2011, at 3 pm, at PiST/// there will be an artist talk by James Hutchinson, a wider discussion with guest speakers to address arts role in a rapid economic transformation will also take place. We look forward to seeing you all.

PiST/// Disiplinlerarası Proje Alanı'nın araştırma ve üretim odaklı, uluslararası misafir sanatçı programı P_RP_R dahilinde dört aydır İstanbul'da bulunan, ve Kopenhag'dan gelen sanatçı Jytte Hoy, Pazartesi Konuşmaları'nın yedinci sunumunu 19 Aralık 2011, saat 18:00'de PiST///'de gerçekleştirecek.
Sanatçı Kendinin Methodudur başlıklı bu konuşma, sanatçının son dönemde gerçekleştirdiği metin temelli iş ve objelerden konuyu ele alacak ve sanat üretimini gerçekleştirmek için geliştirdiği ilke ve methodları nasıl uyguladığına odaklanacak. Anahtar kelime: Gelişmelere göre hareket etmen gerek.

Copenhage based artist Jytte Hoy has been in Istanbul for four months to participate in PiST/// Interdisiciplinary Project Space's research and production in residency program, P_RP_R. On December 19, 2011, at 6 pm, she will make the seventh presentation of the Monday talks series at PiST///.
Titled as An Artist is Her Method, her present text based works and objects will be the starting point. Her talk will cover her artistic praxis with a special focus on the principles and methods invented in order to produce her art work. Keyword: You have to play it by ear.
