Metro ile:
Osmanbey metro durağı Pangaltı Batı çıkışını kullanın.
Ramada Plaza Oteli ana girişi sağından, Dolapdere Caddesi'nden aşağı yürüyün.
Sağdaki ilk sokağın sonundaki sağ köşe binadayız.

Otobüs ile:
Taksim'den Mecidiyeköy yönüne giden tüm otobüslere binebilirsiniz.
Pangaltı durağında inince yukarıdaki tarifle bulabilirsiniz.

Karşıdan:
Taksim yönüne giden ve Şişli'den geçen tüm karşı dolmuşları (Bostancı, Kadıköy) gene Pangaltı otobüs durağının önünden geçiyor.
Vapurla Besiktaş'a gelirseniz Harbiye dolmuşuna binebilir ve son duraktan yürüyebilirsiniz.
Vapurla Kabataş'a gelirseniz finikülerle metro bağlantısını kullanınız.

By underground:
The first stop after Taksim is Osmanbey. Get off there and use Pangalti Bati Exit.
You will see Ramada Plaza Hotel in front of you. Walk down the Dolapdere Caddesi next to the main enterance of the hotel. Turn to the first street on right, PiST is at the right end of the street, on the corner building.

By bus:
All buses from Taksim to Mecidiyeköy are on the way to PiST.
Get off at Pangalti and use the directions described above.

From Asia:
PiST is on the European side of the city. All dolmuses (minibuses from Bostanci and Kadikoy) driving from Sisli on the way to Taksim pass from Pangalti. Get off at Pangalti bus stop and use the same directions above.
If you cross to Besiktas by boat, you can get on the Harbiye dolmus. Get off on the last stop in Harbiye and walk from there.
If you cross to Kabatas by boat, you can use the underground to Taksim and change the train to Osmanbey from there.

Open Call: How To Open & Run An Artist's Space?

“HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE? (Bağımsız Bir Sanat Mekanı Nasıl Açılır ve Yürütülür?) “ kitabını yazmak için açık çağrı.

Didem Özbek, Mayıs 2006’da PiST///’in kuruluş aşamasını deneyimlerken, bağımsız bir sanat mekanı açma ya da yürütme pratiği üzerine yazılmış bir kitap olmadığını fark etti. Bu durum Didem’i varolmayan “HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE? (Bağımsız Bir Sanat Mekanı Nasıl Açılır ve Yürütülür?) “ kitabının içindekiler sayfasını yarattığı bir sanat projesi yapmaya yöneltti. Anglo-Sakson yayıncıların bastığı bir çok yardım kitabı varken, bu “hayati konuda” hiç kitap basılmadığı ortaya çıktı. Bunun üzerine Didem hayallerinin kitabının çindekiler sayfasını yarattı ve bir iş olarak PiST’in yayını olan POST’un sıfırıncı sayısında yayınladı. Başarılı bir aklit olması nedeniyle, bunu okuyan bir çok kişi tarafından gerçek bir kitabın çekilmiş fotokopileri olduğu düşünüldü.

Zaman içerisinde aldığı başarılı tepkiler sonucunda Didem, dünyanın farklı yerlerinden başka bağımsız sanat mekanlarını davet ederek ve her birinden çindekiler bölümündeki başlıklardn birini yazmaları konusunda işbirliği yapmalarını isteyerek, bu kitabın gerçek versiyonunu br PiST projesi olarak yaratmak ve yayınlamaya karar vermiştir. Proje, kendi deneyimlerini paylaşarak “HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE? (Bağımsız Bir Sanat Mekanı Nasıl Açılır ve Yürütülür?) “ kitabının gerçek versiyonuna katkıda bulunmak isteyen herkee açıktır.

Open call to write the book HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE?

While experiencing the set-up of PiST/// in May 2006, Didem Özbek has realized that there was no book written on the practice of creating or running an artist’s space. This led her to create an artwork as the contents page of a fake book called “HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE?” While there are many self-help books by the Anglo-Saxon publishers, Didem realised that there was no book published yet about this "vital issue". As a subversion she created the contents pages of her dream book and published it as an artwork in the zero edition of PiST’s newspaper POST on June 2006. The book was a good imitation, many people who read it thought that it was the photocopied pages of a real book.

By time the success of it made Didem to publish the real version of the book as a PiST project by inviting other artist-run spaces around the world and ask them to collaborate in writing one topic each on the contents she has created. By 2008, the editorial work of the book will start and those who would like to share their own experiences by writing the chapters of the real book version of “HOW TO OPEN & RUN AN ARTIST’S SPACE?” are all welcomed to collaborate in this book project.
