PiST/// Disiplinlerarası Proje Alanı'nın araştırma ve üretim odaklı, uluslararası misafir sanatçı programıyla İstanbul'da bulunan Hollandalı sanatçılar Wouter Osterholt ve Elke Uitentuis 4-14 Temmuz 2011 tarihleri arasında Bomonti, Dolapdere, Elmadağ, Harbiye, Feriköy, Kurtuluş, Nişantaşı, Maçka, Osmanbey ve Pangaltı sokaklarında dolaşarak dileyenin katılımına açık seyyar bir atölye gerçekleştirecekler. Osterholt / Uitentuis Kars'ta yıkımı gerçekleşen 'İnsanlık Anıtı'ndan yola çıkarak, bir hurda arabasına yerleştirdikleri Mehmet Aksoy'un dostluk elinin bir kopyasıyla dileyenden 3 boyutlu imza toplayacaklar. Toplanacak alçıdan eller, yeni bir insanlık anıtının yapı taşlarını oluşturacak. 'Yardımcı Eller' Temmuz 2011 sonunda Kars'a götürülecek. Daha sonra PiST///'te gerçekleşecek bir sergi ve beraberindeki bir yayınla edinilen tüm tecrübenin tartışmaya açılması da hedefleniyor.

As a part of PiST///'s international research and production in residency program, Dutch artists Wouter Osterholt and Elke Uitentuis are developing a new work in Istanbul. From the 4th till the 14th of July, 2011 Osterholt / Uitentuis will organise a mobile workshop around the streets of Bomonti, Dolapdere, Elmadağ, Feriköy, Harbiye, Kurtuluş, Maçka, Nişantaşı, Osmanbey and Pangaltı, İstanbul. Inspired on the demolishment of the 'Monument to Humanity' in Kars, Osterholt / Uitentuis will wheel around a copy of Mehmet Aksoy's hand of friendship on a junk-cart and collect the 3D signatures of passers by. These plaster hand prints will function as the building blocks for a new monument to humanity. The 'Helping Hands' will be brought to Kars at the end of July 2011 and the result of the whole process is aimed to get exhibited later at PiST/// with a publication to discuss the whole experience.
