PiST/// Disiplinlerarası Proje Alanı sizi süreli yayını POST'un İstanbul tanıtımına davet ediyor. 14-16 Mayıs'da Tate Modern'de gerçekleşen No Soul For Sale 2010 – A Festival of Independents'a (Satılık Ruh Yok 2010 – Bağımsızlar Festivali) katılımı PiST'i POST'un yeni sayısını yayınlamak için harekete geçirmişti. POST 02'nin uluslararası tanıtımı Londra'da, Turbine Hall'da, Tate Modern'in 10. yıldönümü kutlamaları sırasında gerçekleşti. İlginç bir şekilde, PiST'in 4. yıldönümü de aynı zamana rastladı. POST'un bu sayısı Bağımsız mı? Bağımlı mı? karşıtlığını keşfetmeyi amaçlıyor. İçerisinde İngilizce'den İngilizce'ye ve Türkçe'den Türkçe'ye iki farklı sözlük bulunan POST 02 bağımsızlık terminolojisini, uluslararası sanat dünyası ve genel hayattan durum ve yaklaşımlarla açıklıyor. Didem Özbek & Stine Hebert bu sözlüğü yaratırken birini diğerine çevirmek yerine dil ve kültür farklılıklarını öne çıkartmayı arzuladı. Osman Bozkurt Destruction isimli fotoğrafıyla katkıda bulundu, Işıl Eğrikavuk Bağımsızlığın Ekonomisi temalı kurgusal bir açık oturum toplantısını POST 02 için deşifre etti. PiST son 4 yıllık etkinlik programını listeleyerek tüm dünyadan sanatçı, sanat profesyonelleri ve mekanlara gelecekte ortaklaşa çalışmak için açık bir davette bulundu.
Aynı akşam ayrıca Didem Özbek & Stine Hebert'in yarattığı Performans Testi de gerçekleşecek. Bu performans katılımcıların bağımsızlık derecesini ölçen toplu bir sınav. Performans Testi'nin basılı hali POST 02'nin arka kapağında da yer alıyor.
POST 02, 10.000 adet basıldı. Britanya'da dağıtımı gerçekleşen bu sayı, 8 Haziran 2010'daki İstanbul tanıtımından sonra Türkiye ve dünya geneline dağıtılacak.
POST 02'nin yayınlanması ve PiST'in Tate Modern'deki NSFS 2010'a katılımı Füsun Eczacıbaşı, Ebru Özdemir ve Berna Tuğlular'ın nazik destek ve yardımlarına bağımlıydı. PiST/// Interdisciplinary Project Space invites you to the Istanbul launch of its periodical POST. Participating in No Soul For Sale 2010 – A Festival of Independents at Tate Modern on 14-16th of May motivated PiST to publish a new edition of POST. The international launch of POST 02 was made in London, in the Turbine Hall, during the celebration of Tate Modern's 10th anniversary. Interestingly, this event coincided with PiST's 4th anniversary. This issue of POST aims to explore the dichotomy between Independent vs. Dependent. It contains two original dictionaries, English to English and Turkish to Turkish unfolding the terminology of independence, related to the conditions and perceptions of it in the international art world and life in general. Rather than translating one language to the other these dictionaries, created by Didem Ozbek & Stine Hebert, aspires to point out the differences in languages and cultures. Osman Bozkurt contributed with the photograph Destruction, and Isil Egrikavuk created a transcript of a fictional panel discussion on The Economy of Independence. PiST lists its past 4 years of program as an open invitation for future projects and collaborations with artists, art professionals, and spaces around the world.
This launch will also feature the Performance Test created by Didem Ozbek & Stine Hebert. The performance is a public examination assessing the degree of the participants' independence. A printed version of the Performance Test figures on the back page of this issue.
The circulation of POST 02 is 10.000. It has already been distributed around the UK and following its launch in Istanbul on June 8th, 2010, it will be distributed in Turkey and internationally.
The publication of POST 02 and PiST's participation in NSFS 2010 at Tate Modern was dependent on the generous support and help from Fusun Eczacibasi, Ebru Ozdemir and Berna Tuglular.
