PiST/// Interdisciplinary Project Space is pleased to announce its participation as one of the
non-profit spaces at The Armory Show 2010, 4 - 7 March. Located at Pier 94, Booth 1511, we will exhibit works of Vahap Avsar, Osman Bozkurt and Didem Ozbek. Avsar is one of the leading artists of the Turkish contemporary art. PiST is proud to exhibit his recent works after a break from showing art for many years. Bozkurt is another distinguished artist whom has works in reputative art collections. Ozbek will exhibit her recent work inspired by the Power 100 lists of art. Avsar’s work ranges from haunting yet masterfully rendered p
aintings to sculptures comprised of everyday objects. His work aim at uncovering secrets and flaws of the system by highlighting hidden meanings, curious incidents and the personal myths.

Osman Bozkurt 1970, Lives and works in Istanbul
Bozkurt uses photography and video to investigate a civic memory. His scenes from everyday life humbling quotidian portraits charged with political outrage. He likes to map fraught spaces that relay between public and private.

Didem Özbek 1970, Lives and works in Istanbul
Özbek develops conceptual projects and combines printed material with installation and performance work. Outside of the format of a standard book, she enjoys to experiment with its form to examine power relations in various art settings and markets.
