From September 9th to November 9th, 2009 PiST/// Interdisciplinary Project Space presents the exhibition TRANSIT II by Danilo Correale, Didem Ozbek & Osman Bozkurt. TRANSIT II investigates one of the defining issues of today such as amnesia in relation to the recent past and the movement of the immigrant, which according to Homi Bhabha changes the history of a nation. By concentrating on the forgotten history of a small district called Pangalti in Istanbul, Didem Ozbek & Osman Bozkurt implicitly makes the presence of the Italian / European community once visible within the Ottoman Empire and early Republic of Turkey. Danilo Correale, on the other hand, has concentrated his research on the production of handcrafted cymbals in Istanbul which was manufactured by Armenian community since the Ottoman Empire.

While The Istanbul Symphony by Danilo Correale will be preformed on September 9th, 2009 at 9.30 pm at PiST///; Grand rue Pancaldi, a daily performance by Didem Ozbek & Osman Bozkurt will take place at NAPOLI Grocery Store until November 9th, 2009.

Maya Ersan tarafından obje üretimi ve performans süreçlerini kapsayan bir proje olarak geliştirilen Anamnesis, Senem Sinem, Kadir Yardımcı, Alev Ersan ve Ahmet Doğu İpek'in katılımıyla hafıza ve hafızanın işleyişinden yola çıkan bir ortak üretim alanı oluşturdu. Anamnesis projesinin ilk üretimi olan tek gecelik gölge oyunu performansı 24 Eylül 2008 akşamı PiST'te gerçekleştirildi. Bir yıl sonra aynı ekip gerçekleştirdikleri bu performansın bir dökümünü hazırladıkları 'limited edition' DVD ve kitapçıkta gölge, mahalle ve oyun alt başlıklarıyla paylaşıma açıyor.

Anamnesis is an object creation and performance project initially created by Maya Ersan in 2008. The project became more expansive with the participation of Kadir Yardımcı, Ahmet Doğu İpek, Senem Sinem and Alev Ersan. The group created a collaborative and creative environment, which serves as a ground for creating projects that contemplate the possible connotations of anamnesis and further contemplate the meaning and function of memory. The first production of anamnesis took the form of a one night shadow play, performed at PiST, on September 24th, 2008. Anamnesis 2 is in the form of a mini-book and DVD, it presents the shadow play, revisited and framed by the subtitles: shadow, neighbourhood and play.

During the 11th International Istanbul Biennial, LiST: Istanbul's Art Listing continues to list the contemporary art events of the city with its newly designed map and updated content. The Biennial Special issue of LiST has a circulation of 60.000 and its on free distribution in/around Istanbul and Turkey.
