Ingo Giezendanner, namı diğer GRRR 1975’te isviçre’de doğdu ve Zürih’te yaşıyor. 1998’den beri dünyanın farklı şehirlerini dolaşıp çizimler yapıyor. Urban Recordings / Kent Kayıtları isimli bu kitap son 8 yıldır yaptığı tüm çizimlerden bir seçki, bir tür retrospektif niteliğinde bir sanatçı kitabı. Passenger Books tarafından yayınlanan bu kitap istanbul’da basıldı.
Ingo Giezendanner (GRRR) born in Switzerland, in 1975 and lives in Zürich. Since 1998 he travels in and through different cities of the world and documents his surroundings. His book "Urban Recordings" is a selection of drawings from his entire work. This book, published by Passenger Books was printed in Istanbul.

Çaycı Ali ve November
November Paynter hem PiST'i görmek hem de Time Out'da hakkımızda bir yazı yazmak üzere bilgi almak için uğradı... Projeler üstüne konuştuk.
November Paynter came over to PiST to see the place and also to get information for writing an article in Time Out about PiST. We talked about our projects.
Komşumuz çaycı Ali'de PiST'e uğradı. Vitrinimizde asılı duran afişimiz üzerine yorumlarda bulundu. Bu afiş, üzerinde yazan iş kollarıyla ilgili bir oyun haline geldi. Uzun zamandır boş duran bu dükkanlar için mahalle ahalisinin bize önerdiği potansiyel iş alanları. Ali de buranın bir internet cafe olmasını önerdi.
Our tea seller Ali also stopped by and commented on the listed business branches on the window. This poster showing the potential fields of work, suggested by the neighbours, somehow turned into an interactive play. Ali also recommended to use our shops as internet café.

PiST Open 02_Underconstruction
PiST Open 02 14.05.2006'daydi.
O gün anneler günüydü ve uzun zaman sonra güneş gercekten yazı getirdiğini müjdeliyordu. Açıkçası biz dahil kimse PiST'in içine tıkılmak istemedik o gün. Ama sağolsunlar gene ziyaretcilerimiz oldu.
PiST Open 02'e kimler geldi?
Gülçin Aksoy ve nefis börekleri, Yasemin Özcan Kaya ve çiçekleri, Ani Setyan ve çiçekleri, Dilek Winchester ve çayi geldiler. Bir ara Tobias da uğradı. Onunla Haziran'da PiST'te gerçekleştirmek istediği film gösterimi üzerine konuştuk.
PiST Open 03 ne zaman?
21.05.2006 Pazar gunu PiST Open 03 icin kapilarimiz 15-18 arasinda acik olacak. Gelip mekanimizi yerinde gormek isterseniz seviniriz.
PiST Open 02 took place 14th May, 2006.
It was Mother's Day and after a long time the sun was announcing that the summer is almost there. Frankly speaking none uf us wanted to be stuck in PiST on a day like that. But thanks to the visitors, they didn't leave us alone.
Gülçin Aksoy and her delicious pies, Yasemin Özcan Kaya and her flowers, Ani Setyan and her flowers, Dilek Winchester and her tea visited us. Tobias also stopped by and we talked about the screening he wants to make in June, in PiST.
On Sunday, 21.05.2006 our door will be open from 15 to 18 pm for PiST Open 03. We would be very glad, if you come and see our place.

PiST Open 01_Underconstruction 07.05.2006
PiST Open 01'in ev sahipleri: Didem Özbek, Osman Bozkurt ve Fatoş Üstek'ti. Osman sıkı bir temizlik yaptı ve yıllardır kullanılmayan mekanı ziyaretçi kabulüne hazırladı. Didem ozalitler hazırladı. Ve bunlardan biri, PiST 7/24 vitrinine asıldı. PiST 7/24'e asılan ozalitte pist'in türkçe ve ingilizce sözlük anlamları ve uzun zamandır boş duran bu 3 dükkan için bugüne kadar komşu dükkan sahiplerinin tavsiye ettikleri iş kolları ya da bu dükkanların bundan önceki faaliyet alanları yazılıydı.
Pazar günü PiST sokaklarının en sessiz sakin zamanı. Buna rağmen komşularımız hemen gelişmelerin farkına vardı. Hayırlı olsun'a gelmeye başladılar. Tabii ki içeride ne işle iştigal edeceğimizi merak ediyorlardı. Mesela Allahverdi Bey içeri girerek dışarıda yazanları okumaya çalıştı. Golden Gate'in bodyguardları geldi. Patronları yollamış, "Hayırlı olsun ne de olsa komşuyuz" dediler. "Peki ama ne olacak burası?" diye de sordular. Biz de "Vitrinde yazılı olanlardan biri olacak" dedik. "Internet kafe olsun, biz de oynarız" dediler. Yoldan gelen geçenler hala okuyorlar yazımızı. Geçen gün duydum ki içerideki çalışmamızın en az 1 ay daha sureceği rivayeti konuşulmaya başlamış sokakta. Keşke 1 ayda bitse hayalimizdeki tum tadilat işlemleri ama bunun için öncelikle iyi bir bütçe oluşturmamız şart.
Dilek Winchester ve misafiri Efe ilk kapıdan uğrayanlardı. Sonra Tobias Hering, Jason Quinlan, Bertrand Ivanoff, Florian Wüst, Elmas Deniz ve Linda Herzog geldi. Hep birlikte biz sokaktakileri sokaktakiler de bizi izledi. İçeride sergi yapmak yerine kendimizi böyle sergilesek çok daha dikkat ve ilgi çekeceğimizi konuştuk.
Güzel bir gündü.
PiST Open 01 was hosted by Didem Özbek, Osman Bozkurt and Fatoş Üstek. Osman cleaned up our place, which hasn't been used since many years and prepared it for welcoming our visitors. Didem prepared ozalid prints and one of those prints was placed on the PiST 7/24 display window. On the print, the word "PiST"s meanings taken from Turkish and English dictionaries and business branches recommended by the neighbour shop owners or former occupation types of the shops was written.
Sunday is the most quiet moments on PiST streets. But yet, our neighbours noticed the changes immediately. They started to visit to wish good luck. But they also wanted to know what kind of business we are going to run here. For example Mr. Allahverdi came in the shop and tried to read what is shown on the window. Bodyguards of Golden Gate was also sent to PiST by their boss. They said "Congratulations, after all we became neighbours." and asked what our occupation is. We told them that it is going to be one of the options on the list. They said that they prefer an Internet café, so that thy could come and play too. People passing from the street are still reading our poster. A couple of days ago, I even heard that the rumour that our repair work would last at least one more month is spread in the neighbourhood. If only all of the reconstruction could be finished in one month... But first, we have to make a good budget.
Dilek Winchester and her guest Efe were the first ones who stopped by. Afterwards Tobias Hering, Jason Quinlan, Bertrand Ivanoff, Florian Wüst, Elmas Deniz and Linda Herzog came and togehter we observed people on the street while they were observing us. We thought that maybe exhibiting ourselves like today would be far more interesting and catch more attention than making an exhibition.
It was a nice day.
